Tap.jpg

Tap

A great way to develop rhythm, coordination, and muscle control. Classes involve detailed footwork, improvisation, and articulation of sound. Tap is a high energy dance style and a great tool for self-expression. Our curriculum draws inspiration from this art form’s African and African American roots, as well as tap dancers of the past and present.

Jazz

Jazz

A versatile and creative form, gathering from and integrating a broad spectrum of sources. Our program focuses on classical jazz techniques, with a strong theatrical influence. Creating a solid foundation from which dancers will learn to flourish in this uniquely American dance style. Inspiration is drawn from this art form's African roots, the contemporary artists of today and jazz greats of the past.

AllThatDance-Modern.jpg

Modern

A form that explores movement, space, rhythm, and a dancer’s own creativity through a melding of Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, African, and many other types of dance. The end result is a unique style marked by athleticism and expressiveness as students become aware of the endless potential for expression via movement of the human body. Floor work, progressions, components of ballet, partner work, choreography (teacher-directed), and a chance to collaborate with fellow dancers (student-directed) are components of our program, which produces dancers who are able to create their own dances as well as appreciate modern choreography in our local dance community and around the world.

PopStyles.jpg

Pop Styles

Fun, upbeat classes that incorporate isolation movements, progressions across the floor, and complex choreography. Our pop styles dance classes are inspired by hip hop dance culture, pop culture, other dance genres, and set to age-appropriate pop music. Strength and flexibility also are important components of each class. And, most importantly, dancers develop confidence as they express themselves while creating their own, personal movement and style

AllThatDance-Lyrical.jpg

Lyrical

An extension of a dancer’s training, lyrical classes combine techniques from jazz, ballet and modern genres with movement inspired by song lyrics. The perfect class for developing dancers who are seeking to enhance their performance abilities as they learn to tell stories through movement, expressing powerful emotions and creativity to reach their audiences. Prerequisite: Jazz, Ballet or Modern Level IV or higher/Teen jazz, ballet or modern III or higher. Lyrical must be taken in conjunction with an appropriate level ATD technique class. Please contact jazz@all-that-dance.com for placement.

Dancers age four (for Pre-Ballet/Tap), five (for Beginning Ballet/Tap) , or six (for Ballet/Tap I) by September 1 will be introduced to both ballet and tap skills in this engaging, 55-minute class. Students will move through creative explorations centered around weekly dance concepts that allow students to dance expressively and learn age-appropriate physical skills in both styles of dance.

Parent Tot

Dancers age 18 months to three years and their caregiver are welcomed into the studio for a joyful, brain-compatible class experience in a group setting with one of our caring teachers.

Each class includes the BrainDance (movement patterns set to nursery rhymes), engaging music to encourage dancing with fun props (scarves, instruments, etc.) and positive interactions with caregiver and teacher to build a predictable experience over time. A perfect introductory class - with support from a caregiver - to see what dance is all about at our studio!

AllThatDance-CreativeBallet2.jpg

Creative Ballet

Dancers age three by September 1, will experience the joy of dance in a warm, inviting environment independent of caregivers, for a 55-minute class. Students will be introduced to a variety of dance concepts and explore ways to move expressively with props, storytelling, and partner activities.

Basic ballet skills are part of our brain-compatible curriculum and a focus on social-emotional learning from skilled teachers helps foster cooperation and creativity for our youngest dancers, as they participate in class on their own for the first time!
