Preschool Class Watching Statement
Our Preschool classes aim to provide a safe space for dancers to explore movement and creativity independent of their caregiver. This means families will drop their dancer off with the teacher at the door, who will lead them through a 55-minute class and then share highlights with grown-ups right after class ends (look for your child’s teacher outside their classroom door). With questions to ask your child and an update on how class went, we are helping students continue their learning at home by reflecting and sharing about their time at dance.
Our Toddler Dance classes are geared for caregivers and parents to attend with their child and this class is best for dancers who would like more time with a family member as they adjust to a new learning environment. Our preschool program hosts a Watching Week - where family and friends come to watch the last class of the semester. This opportunity for watching your dancer (and participating in portions of class) help to mark their progress as independent learners and is a great way for students to shine as they demonstrate new skills - both physical and emotional.
As always, our focus is to build self-esteem and confidence for every dancer to participate in class fully. If you are uncertain whether your child would be best on their own or with you, please schedule a free trial in Toddler Dance to introduce them to our program. Our teachers are happy to discuss the best placement after working with your child.
If you have questions or if we can provide more information, please reach out to our Preschool Registrar at preschool@all-that-dance.com.
