ATD Nutcracker FAQs

  1. What is the time commitment?   Choreography will be worked on during class.  Performance day (Sunday, December 14 from 12:00-5:30 PM) is the only time outside of regular class time that your dancer will be required to be at ATD.

  2. What is the cost for families?  The Performance Cost is $30.00, which includes the cost of two tickets to a show time of the family’s choice.

  3. Can I get additional tickets?  Yes!  Starting on Wednesday, December 3 at 9:00 AM, any remaining tickets will go on sale through DSP.

  4. What should my dancer wear for the performance?  Teachers and students will work together to come up with a simple costume idea using items sourced from home that you may already have or can borrow from a friend.  Specific costume and performance details will be shared with families in November via email.

  5. My dancer has another commitment on December 14.  Can they perform in just the first three shows?  No. We need all dancers on hand for all performances to maintain consistency with choreography.  Dancers really depend on each other while performing.

  6. I didn’t turn in the participation form by November 1.  Can my dancer still participate?  Sorry, no.  Teachers have mostly finalized choreography and set formations.  It can be very challenging and stressful for both teachers and dancers to make changes late in the process.
